We got out for a couple nights hiking and camping on the trails that integrate through the Garden of the Gods Wilderness area in the Shawnee National Forest. The weather was unseasonably warm, hitting temps in the low 80's in the day, and dropping into the 40's at night. Unfortunately this meant my pack was a little heavier than I would've liked, so we did not hike as far or as fast as we meant to, but it was still a fun camping experience. We also got some storms passing through on Saturday night that made sleeping an easy job with the sound of rain on my tarp.
