As a baby, 13-year-old Tilly Lockey contracted a deadly form of meningitis called meningococcal septicaemia, and had to undergo an operation to have both her hands amputated. Tilly is now thirteen, and is the proud owner of two super stylish Hero Arms.
"My determination has got me to where I am today. The main goal is ultimate independence just like anybody else with hands. I think it would make everyone, not just amputees, feel better if everyone stopped judging each other and just lived your life without being judged."
