Kaakibat ng ehersisyo ng pagharaya ang pagsasaalang-alang sa kasalukuyang lagay ng sosyo-kultural at ekolohikal na pag-iral ng Unibersidad; dito nakakawing ang ating kasasadlakan sa hinaharap. Ang lohika ng kaayusan ng lunan at ang paglalaan ng espasyo sa bawat elemento ng buhay sa Unibersidad ay marapat na nakakiling sa katiyakan ng mas maalwang buhay -- sa kinabukasan -- para sa lahat.
The project is premised on a future-oriented thinking about the world, affording us a deeper sense of ownership of alternative futures -- better, more caring, and more secure than what our current state offers. This future-oriented thinking is an exercise in visualizing UP Diliman’s socio-ecological possibilities. Each episode captures how different sectors that consider the University some sort of home, a familiar place, or a place of affinities imagine its future as a space where the natural and built environments co-exist, acting as a place of abode, whether permanent or provisional, for both human and non-human life.
“Bukas sa UP Bukas“ is presented by the UP Department of Broadcast Communication and DZUP as part of the UP Arts and Culture Festival under the UP Diliman Office for Initiatives in Culture and the Arts.
