FileMaker WebDirect is a key feature of the FileMaker Platform and the greatest difficulty for many developers is the overall performance. Many things involved are challenging, and the first thing is to know the limitations due to the fact that everything is performed on server.
The second thing is that layouts are rendered by a Web Browser and not by a native FileMaker client. All these things combined makes building FileMaker WebDirect cumbersome when it has no reason to be.
