Is Dalek Mod still good in 2025?

Dalek Mod is 12 years old and for a long time was the most popular Doctor Who Minecraft mod ever. Although it's had over 70 unique updates adding many features and the mod being very well known, ever since 2014 it's gotten less and less popular. Now there are hundreds of Doctor Who mods in Minecraft and (on CurseForge) many are more popular than Dalek Mod has ever been. Most notably TARDIS Refined, New TARDIS Mod, Weeping Angel mods, Adventures in Time, TARDIM, and a few more, being arguably more popular and well known than Dalek mod today.

However Dalek Mod has had a lot of features added over the years and is often overlooked so I started a new survival world in Dalek Mod 1.16 to see if it's still fun. I set my goal to be crafting a TARDIS which took a long time. Part of the recipe for the Coral Plant includes a Nether Star which took the most time. After getting the TARDIS I went to a structure in the mod which is the Dalek Ship. This had many Dalek spawners including Special Weapons Daleks and was stupidly hard. Dalek mod also has a bunch of other stuff like the Kerblam man, Skaro, old Minecraft, dozens of TARDIS interiors/exteriors, and more. The SWD Team are also now updating Dalek Mod to 1.21 which means it will get a bunch of new features as well as the new stuff from the base game.

2024 saw the first season in the new TARDIS. At Xmas Doctor Who had a Christmas Special Joy To The World with Anita by Steven Moffat who wrote Matt Smith’s and Peter Capaldi’s 11th Doctor & 12th Doctor. Series Fifteen has Varada Sethu as the companion, Belinda Chandra. As well as characters like Mrs Flood (Anita Dobson), and The Rani (Archie Panjabi). Series 15 starts with Lux and The Well and ends with Wish World and The Reality War with The Rani, Conrad (Jonah Hauer-King) and Omega the Mad God (From The Three Doctors & Arc of Infinity) as the Unholy Trinity. It ends with the 15th Doctor’s regeneration into Billie Piper’s 16th Doctor
