Cultural diversity, whether of race or otherwise, must always be respected because it is part of the Great Circle of Life, in which everyone has their place, their role and must be respected!
The song introduce us to the spiritual and cultural world of the ancient Native Americans, and then presents the contrast with Western culture.
Pocahontas takes us by the hand and tries to reveal the culture of her people and respect for the balance of nature. The Great Spirit creates the bond that unites all creatures on earth in a cyclical cycle that repeats itself from birth to death. According to their perspective, man becomes cruel when he separates himself from nature and begins not to care of it, consequently not respecting other men as well.
The final message of the song is that, despite the variety, in the end we are all united by a spirit and a why, a purpose which, although different for each of us, begins and ends in the same places. To arrive well and in peace at your destination, the only way is to have your eyes and soul open and ready to enrich yourself along the way. And finally, seeing things and the world from multiple angles increases in wisdom, knowledge and greater understanding of others.

La canzone, oltre a presentarci il mondo spirituale e culturale dell'antico popolo dei Nativi Americani, ci presenta anche il contrasto con la cultura occidentale. Pocahontas ci prende per mano e tenta di rivelarci la cultura del suo popolo e il rispetto degli equilibri della natura.
Il Grande Spirito crea il legame che unisce tutte le creature sulla terra, in un cerchio ciclico che si ripete dalla nascita alla morte. Secondo la loro ottica, l’uomo diventa crudele quando si separa dalla natura e inizia a non curarsene, non rispettando conseguentemente anche gli altri uomini.
Il messaggio finale della canzone è che, pur nella varietà, alla fine siamo tutti accomunati da uno spirito e da un perché, uno scopo che seppur diverso per ognuno di noi, parte e si conclude negli stessi identici punti. Per arrivare bene e in pace a destinazione, l’unica maniera è avere gli occhi e l’animo aperti e pronti ad arricchirsi durante la strada. E infine, vedere le cose e il mondo da più punti di vista, accresce in saggezza, conoscenza e maggiore comprensione del prossimo.
