I arrived in Kangbashi, Inner Mongolia (China) — a place often called a modern ghost city, but full of surprises. From the city center, I went to see the massive Genghis Khan statues, standing as a reminder of Mongol history and pride.
After that, I explored the museums and the grand public library, trying to understand how Inner Mongolia blends ancient Mongol culture with modern Chinese architecture. While walking around, I started talking with local Chinese people, learning about their daily life, thoughts, and how they see travelers from India.
As the day ended, I camped outdoors, experiencing Inner Mongolia in a raw and simple way. One of the most unexpected moments was when a random stranger approached me, took photos with me, and even dressed me in traditional Mongolian outfit — a beautiful example of human connection beyond language.
