Eastbourne Silver Band was formed in 1950. It is a self-financing and very friendly non-contesting band, formed from players of all ages who enjoy music and playing together. Eastbourne Bandstand’s Christmas concerts took a break in 2022 due to the Bandstand awaiting refurbishment. A popular and long-standing tradition, the concerts began when the Bandstand was first built back in 1935 and have been a regular Christmas attraction ever since. A Christmas Day performance by Eastbourne Silver Band took place on the Wish Tower Slopes, to keep the tradition alive . Eastbourne Silver Band was formed in 1950. It is a self-financing and very friendly non-contesting band, formed from players of all ages who enjoy music and playing together. The Music Director at this performance is Marcus Plant. He is an enthusiastic and imaginative musician who is leading the band in a positive direction and producing some entertaining and exciting programmes for
concerts on the Bandstand but for our many other engagements as well.
Eastbourne is a resort town on England’s southeast coast. On the seafront are Victorian hotels, the 19th-century Eastbourne Pier and a 1930s bandstand. Towner Art Gallery includes modern British works. Nearby, Redoubt Fortress, built during the Napoleonic Wars, has a military museum. Southwest along the coast, in South Downs National Park, are the tall chalk cliffs of Beachy Head and its striped 1902 lighthouse.

It is a personal record from my eye view-point, and it is raw and as it happens from the thick of it. Therefore it is not a Cecille DeMille production in HD with 5.1 surround sound. I also push myself to my personal limits and I feel if I stuck to rigid rules, my output would be boring. For example,being out of focus for a couple of seconds is all a part and parcel of things.
