Protesters in Bangladesh took to the streets on April 24, 2023, to mark the 10th anniversary of the collapse of the Rana Plaza factory complex that killed more than 1,100 garment workers near the capital Dhaka. Despite signs of cracks seen before the building collapse, workers were forced to stay in the building by the textile factory management. Thirty-eight people have been charged with murder but the trial is still ongoing 10 years on, with survivors still awaiting justice.
