What happens when you quit your job, travel solo through Colombia, and start sharing your story — only to be confronted by your own blind spots in the comment section?
In this deeply personal travel vlog, I take you on a real-time drive through the tropical hills near Restrepo and Villavicencio, Colombia, as I read and react to raw, unfiltered comments from my recent videos. Some are kind. Some are brutally honest. And one of them made me stop the car and ask myself if I should even keep filming.
This isn’t a highlight reel. It’s not a polished travel guide. It’s a documentation of what it actually feels like to put your transformation on camera — and realize that your audience sometimes sees what you’re not ready to face.
If you’re curious about solo travel in Colombia, burnout recovery, or how real growth often comes from discomfort, this video will resonate. Especially if you’ve ever found yourself spiraling through self-doubt after reading something you didn’t want to hear.

I’m Max Chase. A few months ago, I walked away from my accounting job in Canada and bought a one-way ticket to Bogotá. I wasn’t looking for paradise. I was looking for something real.
Since then, I’ve been traveling through Colombia — camera in hand, heart on sleeve — recording everything from chaotic Bogotá traffic to peaceful jungle mornings. My goal isn’t to be a “travel influencer.” It’s to be honest. And honesty, it turns out, invites feedback. Sometimes painful. Sometimes beautiful. Always revealing.
In this episode, I reflect on what it means to show your life online while you’re still figuring it out. I wrestle with your questions, your critiques, and your encouragement — all while navigating the bumpy backroads of Colombia.

• On-screen reactions to viewer comments from previous videos
• Personal reflection on public vulnerability and criticism

• Emotional tension between growth and insecurity
• A question I didn’t want to answer: “Should I stop?”

This is more than a travel vlog.
It’s an exploration of what happens when you step away from autopilot and start listening — to the road, to your conscience, and to the voices of others who are watching your journey unfold.
If you’ve ever felt stuck in a life that looked fine on paper but felt empty on the inside…
If you’ve ever wondered what happens when you actually follow your conscience…
If you’ve ever been hit hard by a truth you didn’t want to hear…
You’re not alone. And this video is for you.

Let’s Talk:
What’s the most uncomfortable truth someone ever told you?
Did it change you? Did it make you want to quit — or go deeper?
Let me know in the comments. I read them all.
