Aloe vera is one of the best succulents to grow indoors because it is beautiful, easy to care for and useful for treating minor burns. Aloe needs a bright location and well draining soil to thrive. Use a succulent specific potting mix, or add perlite and sand to regular potting mix. Pluck out new shoots to transplant, allowing them to heal for a few days before watering.
