Hospitals across the affected regions were overwhelmed, with at least 700 suffocation cases in Muthanna Province, over 250 hospitalizations in Najaf, at least 322 people, including children, treated in Diwaniyah, and over 530 people seeking medical attention for breathing problems in Dhi Qar and Basra.
