In the first episode of our new gundog training series on Shooting & Country TV, Andy Brown of Cotswold Gundogs offers a little advice for new puppy owners, and introduces the upcoming series, which kicks off in January with our first focused training video.
Over the next 12 months, we will be tracking the progress of two beautiful gundog puppies - a spaniel and a Labrador - and learning how their training progresses from the earliest stage right through to their first day beating or picking up in the field.
We will also be keeping an eye on a young Bracco Italiano, to highlight the different styles and considerations required when working with different breed types.
We will check in with the young dogs every other month, and will be interspersing these videos with a simple exercise for you to practice at home, whatever stage of training your gundog is at.
Cotswold Gundogs focuses on practical training for working dogs, and aims to help owners reach their own personal goals, always with a strong focus on building a great bond between the dog and the owner.
