This Altar Table is reproduced based on the Ming Dynasty huanghuali waisted incense stand from the Palace Museum collection. To coordinate with a subsequent tea cabinet, I have modified its proportions, details, and line designs. Structurally, it employs:"Waisted construction" (束腰)"Mitered corner joint" (棕角榫)Traditional "frame-and-panel construction" (攒板)
while retaining the classic "horse-hoof feet" design. The piece aims to incorporate subtle modern aesthetics while preserving classical traditions.
In ancient China, this type of furniture was primarily used for displaying incense burners, hence the name "incense Altar" (香几).制作了一个明式束腰棕角榫马蹄足香几
