Being in a Winning Position is BEING READY for what God has ALREADY PROMISED.

Today’s Key Text:

Joshua 1:2-3 NIV “Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, GET READY TO CROSS the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them—to the Israelites. 3 I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses.

Joshua 1:11 NIV “Go through the camp and tell the people, ‘GET YOUR PROVISIONS READY. THREE DAYS from now you will cross the Jordan here to go in & TAKE POSSESSION of the land the Lord your God is giving you for your own.’”

How to Get Ready to Take Possession of the Promise. 3 - BE – Attitudes.

✓ BE CONFIDENT.

Joshua 1:5 NLT No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you.

✓ BE COURAGEOUS.

Joshua 1: 6-7a, 9, 18b NLT “Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. 7 Be strong and VERY courageous.

9 This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

18b So be strong and courageous!”

Isaiah 40:29 NLT He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.

Exodus 15:2 NLT The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory.

Psalm 28:7 NLT The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.

✓ BE CAREFUL.

Joshua 1:7b-8 NLT Be CAREFUL to OBEY all the instructions Moses gave you. DO NOT DEVIATE from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. 8 STUDY this Book of Instruction continually. MEDITATE on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.
