After leaving the beautiful Wormsloe Historic Site, we took a short scenic drive through coastal Georgia and made our way to this historic Civil War-era fort. From exploring hidden tunnels and massive cannons, to learning how soldiers lived, ate, and even healed — this hands-on history field trip was a hit with the whole family!

👨‍👩‍👦 As a homeschooling family, we’re all about learning through experience — and Fort Pulaski gave our kids a powerful lesson in American history, engineering, and resilience.
