And the world seemed a little kinder
Under the whisper of old sleepy crowns.

That touched the soul lightly,
I had all of this
And it became so unbearably far away.

And childhood melts like a dream,
Elusively beyond the line.
That quiet, bright horizon
Is no longer mine, no longer mine.
Only in rare flashes until the morning
The ghostly dawn will return,
My happy time,
Which is no more, no more.

There is an island of mirages somewhere,
A land of fantasies, fairy tales, dreams,
Where childish dreams wander
Among the birches, among the dragonflies.
