STORYLINE :

When Steffy is badly injured during a fire after going after Jeff in order to save her, she is rushed into the hospital in critical condition, with distracted Herrmann reminding Jeff that she went back into the fire as she was trying to save Jeff, with Jeff remembering how she had told him at the fire that she was never going to leave him before the two kissed, soon following the explosion. Severide is angry at Jeff as Jeff was supposed to have her back. Blaming himself too, distracted Jeff is watching old sonogram pictures of their son Jonathan and watching the baby pictures of him. Connor Rhodes who is operating on Steffy, is confronted by the firehouse 51 alongside with Jeff as the procedure could be dangerous. The procedure goes well and Jeff is by her side when she wake up. Later on as Steffy is released from the hospital, things between Jeff and her are going very well and she feels happiest she have ever been, talking to her father Henry how she is happy. Jeff however is still jealous of how close Severide and Steffy are, but realizes he shouldn't be jealous and him and Severide make amends. Things are going very well with Steffy and Jeff and the two move in together and tries Jeff's new hobby, flying, together.
