So in this video I talk about where Ive got to on this project which to be fair is not very far , remake some parts that I felt where not up to the job and generally discuss the problems that crop up as it progresses . The gear ratio I’m using is 2.9 to 1 which will give a correct gearbox input speed of around 980 rpm as per the original engine speed , with a new engine speed of 2800 rpm not quite as fast as stated in the video but definitely fast enough for this set up , Im thinking of governing the engine to 3200 for the odd spirited burst but no more I think the peak torque for this engine is around 3000 rpm so it should be about right hopefully . As I’ve said getting the pinion gear to crown gear mesh correct will be absolute for this project to have any success, this will be the biggest challenge of the whole project . I mention at 11.50 about a bush less bush that should be a keyless bush of course , ha ho ! . Regards David H.
