Step into Melbourne’s oldest and most aesthetic market — Prahran Market, established in 1864 and still buzzing with flavour, culture, and high-end gourmet produce. In this video, we take your taste buds on a full market tour, stopping at some incredible food spots you don’t want to miss!
🧀 First up, we visit Maker & Monger, home to what might be Melbourne’s best cheese toasties. We try the Flaming Ruben, loaded with wagyu and cheddar, and the Fondue Special, with gooey Swiss gruyere and free-range ham. Absolute cheese heaven.
🌭 Then it’s on to a classic German BBQ for a spicy and flavour-packed chilli cheese kransky. Right next door, we hit Farini for a standout ricotta pistachio cannoli — flaky like a cookie with perfectly sweet filling.
🥬 We also check out Anatoli Gozleme for their underrated but delicious lamb cabbage roll, full of spice and savoury goodness. Plus, we explore the deli section, seafood stalls, and butcher area, where we even score a free sample of Coffin Bay oysters.
🍰 To finish, we head to La Colmena, a Spanish dessert bakery, for the decadent Pionono and Grandma’s Cake — both rich, luxurious, and unforgettable.
If you’re a foodie visiting Melbourne, Prahran Market needs to be on your list. Come hungry!
