Hey everyone! It’s your pal Sal, and today I’m continuing my Cyndi Lauper journey with her fourth studio album, Hat Full of Stars! Released in 1993, this album marked a significant shift in Cyndi’s sound and artistic direction. After the commercial challenges of A Night To Remember, Hat Full of Stars is a raw and introspective album that showcases a more matures side of Cyndi.

While the album didn’t make the same commercial impact as her earlier releases, it’s full of rich, emotional depth, with Cyndi exploring personal themes like self-empowerment, relationships, and the struggles of growing up. It’s definitely a departure from the pop sheen of her '80s hits, embracing a more stripped-down and organic sound.

Though Hat Full of Stars didn’t catch fire on the charts, it’s a hidden gem with some incredible deep cuts that deserve way more recognition. There’s a lot of emotion and honesty in this album, and you can hear Cyndi pushing herself creatively in new directions.
