This is where my heart and soul belong - making things from junk materials and taking in the 'junk' senior dogs that need to finally know what love and commitment feels like. I know it sounds cheezy, but this IS really how I feel. I've finished up Leroy's dog house -his 'home away from home', his safe place to utilize if he needs it, when I am not around. If he in fact uses it, that is a bonus. I had so much fun doing this little project, and I'm really pleased with how it turned out! What do you think??
And finally, I have digested the news about my hip, and I share that with you in the video. I just received my surgery date, so all things are lining up now.

How Steve set up the Apex 300:
When the power goes out, we will shut off the main breaker switch (this step is critical!). We’ll also turn off the majority of the breakers, leaving on the ones that we’d like power to - fridge, well pump (240v), heat (which is gas but requires a little bit of electricity), the fridge, and a few lights. Oh, and the dryer breaker needs to be on, as that’s how we’re putting power back to the house. Unplug the dryer, and plug the Apex 300 into the dryer plug, and then we have power! The caveat to this way is that you need to be home to manually switch things over, but this is how steve wanted to do it 🙂
