I spent the past week in Colorado and New Mexico chasing trains along the former Rio Grande Narrow Gauge. This is the first of two videos. In this one, we take a look at daily operations of the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad in Durango, Colorado. We'll see mostly steam with a little bit of ALCO diesel mixed in as well. In addition to the Ex-Rio Grande K-36 and K-28's, we'll also see Ex-Southern Pacific #18 acting as a helper on the all-day excursion. Timing and weather weren't on my side the entire time though, so you may notice that a few shots in this video are handheld. Nonetheless, I hope you all enjoy! And stay tuned for the next video where we take a look at the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad (that video is gonna be a looooong one)! :D
