After World War III, he scavenged abandoned gas masks, stitching them together, and modified a diving oxygen tank into a jetpack that allowed him to move swiftly and remain underwater for long periods.
His tentacle-like appearance earned him the name Octamus — the “Octopus Man.” Before the war, he was the chief engineer of a deep-sea fishing vessel. During his homeward journey from a long voyage, the world plunged into nuclear devastation. District H.o.P.E., the last bastion of safety, sealed its gates, leaving the rest of the world in anarchy.

With no government, no rules, and no hope, Sea Octamus turned back to the sea. Using the wreckage of war, he built a makeshift boat named Ghostwing, fashioned from the remains of a World War 2 German Messerschmitt aircraft. Determined to find his family, he embarked on a treacherous journey across the endless ocean.
But will he reunite with his loved ones?
Will he ever find a new utopia?

제3차 세계대전후 버려진 방독면들을 이어붙히고 잠수용 산소통을 개조한 jetpack과 연결하여 바다속에서도 빠르고 오랫동안 활동할수 있도록 만들었다.
그의 모습이 대왕문어같다고 해서 문어맨, 일명 Octamus로 불리는 남자.

그는 제3차 세계대전 이전에는 대양을 항해하는 원양어선 기관장이었다.
긴 항해에서 집으로 돌아오는 중에 전쟁이 발발하고, 순식간에 핵으로 오염된 세계에서 유일하게 안전한 곳, 희.망.지구: District H.o.P.E. (Heart of Peaceful Earth)의 문이 닫히고만다. 세상은 온통 무정부 상태로 혼돈에 빠지고, 그가 향한곳은 다시 바다로…

온갖 버려진 전쟁잔해들을 모아, 자신이 손수 만든 보트, Ghostwing을 타고, 어디 있을지 모르는 가족을 찾아 다시 바다로 긴여정을 떠난다.
그는 과연 가족과 새로운 유토피아를 찾을수 있을까?
