The first half of this lecture by June McDaniel, Professor Emerita of History of Religion at College of Charleston, will compare some major Western understandings of the structure of the mind (Freudian, Jungian, Cognitive, etc) with Vedantic states of consciousness and Raja Yoga psychology. The second half will include personal psychedelic exploration of some of these deeper states, discussing some alternative understandings of the unconscious and transpersonal realms.
