Tahri or Tehri (also rarely tapahri) is a yellow rice dish in North Indian cuisine. Different spices are added to plain cooked rice for flavor and colour along with different vegetables of choice.
Ingredients Used:
Rice
Green Peas (hara matar)
Curry leaves (kari patta)
Tomato
Onion
Chopped vegetables of choice
Soyabean
Masala Used:
Garam masala powder
Turmeric powder (Haldi powder)
Red chilli powder (Lal Mirch powder)
Bay Leaf (Tej patta) - (1 leaf)
Black Cardamom (Badi Elachi) - (2 pieces)
Green Cardamom (Choti Elachi) - (4-5 pieces)
Clove (Laung) - (5-6 pieces)
Cinnamon (Dalchini) - (1-2 sticks)
