In 2017 the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna is going to celebrate its 200th birthday!

One of the main highlights will be our Aufspiel Festival 2017

More than 40 acts including virtuosic soloists, orchestra and chamber music performances, film, theatre plays, research and music education:

Franz Welser-Möst is to conduct mdw's Webern Symphony Orchestra; mdw graduate and mezzo-soprano Elisabeth Kulman will perform solo; Expect further stunning performances such as Willi Resetarits with our ipop band or the mdw graduates from Mnozil Brass;
