Vienna After Dark: From Suburbs to City Lights - You Won’t Believe What’s Still Open!

Ever wondered what Vienna looks like late at night? 🌙
This video was filmed on June 3, 2025, starting around 11 PM on a warm summer night - around 21°C (70°F). We begin our walk in the outer district of Simmering and slowly make our way into the city center.

Along the way, you’ll hear dogs arguing at the U3 Simmering station, pass glowing neon cafés, and see the Enkplatz church beautifully lit at night. We still see trams operating, stroll past kebab hotspots, and walk through some darker, quieter corners of the city.

Once we cross under the Südosttangente, we move from Simmering into Landstraße. From here, we pass the T-Center, then walk past Rennweg 93a - known for the dramatic 2018 BVT raid that sparked a lot of political controversy in Austria.

We keep moving through the city’s calm nighttime atmosphere, passing Belvedere, the Russian Monument, and Schwarzenbergplatz. Just after midnight, we step into Vienna’s historic heart - Kärntner Straße and end our journey with a peaceful view of St. Stephen’s Cathedral.
