What a way to kick off the new school year! 🤩
We got our staff ready for the new school year with an amazing Back-to-School Kickoff Assembly at Wausau East! Staff were greeted by mascots, drumlines, and a foyer full of students cheering them on! After a surprise DJ set by G.D. Jones School Counselor Josh Duwe, our staff heard from high school students who shared touching stories about the impact their teachers have had on their lives. We even got to celebrate our longest-serving employee, Cindy Hollander, who has been with the district for an incredible 48 years!
We also gave away the ultimate prize: "Sub for a Day" opportunity where teachers can have one of our district leaders, including Superintendent Cale Bushman, take over their class!
What a way to kick off the new school year for our staff!
Students - we can't wait to see you all on Tuesday! Let's make this the best school year yet! 😀
