Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai, born Madhusudan Naidu on July 26, 1979, in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, India, is a distinguished spiritual leader and humanitarian. He is renowned for his extensive service initiatives in education, healthcare, nutrition, and spirituality, impacting lives across more than 30 countries. Raised in a spiritually inclined family, Madhusudan's early years were marked by devotion and academic excellence. In 1996, at the age of 17, he enrolled at the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning in Whitefield, Bangalore. His dedication culminated in receiving a gold medal in 1999 for securing the top position in his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (Honours) degree. Sri Madhusudan Sai continues the mission of love and service initiated by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Embracing the philosophy of vasudhaiva kutumbakam—"One World, One Family"—he emphasizes selfless service and spiritual unity. Residing at Sathya Sai Grama in Muddenahalli, Karnataka, he leads various humanitarian and spiritual endeavors.
Since 2011, Sri Madhusudan Sai has spearheaded numerous global service projects:
Nutrition: Through the Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust, he initiated a free morning nutrition program that nourishes over 9 million school-going children daily across 106,000 schools in India and extends to five other countries.
Healthcare: He established four specialized pediatric cardiology hospitals, a multidisciplinary secondary care hospital, and two exclusive mother and child hospital centers. These institutions have collectively performed over 16,000 free surgeries since 2012.
Education: Under his guidance, 37 educational institutions across 27 campuses have been founded, providing values-based education to over 5,000 students. This includes the Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence and institutions in Laos, Nigeria, and Australia.
His unwavering commitment to humanitarian causes has earned him accolades such as the "Greatest Leader 2023" award and a Certificate of Recognition from the California State Assembly, USA.
He just received Fiji’s highest civilian award – the Honorary ‘Companion of the Order of Fiji’ – by His Excellency, the President of Fiji, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu.
