Head Chef Charlie and the team at Stormont House, designed these cook-along videos for pupils with additional and special educational needs. They are created to be watched at a pupil’s own pace and easy to follow. While you may not have the recipe pack Charlie talks about, you can buy the ingredients and make your own pack. Here's what you'll need...
Stir Fry Recipe - Serves 2-3
N.B - This recipe involves a hot wok and oil so extra caution and guidance will be necessary
Ingredient List
● 100g of Rice or Noodles (50g per portion)
● 2 Garlic Cloves - Finely chopped or grated
● 2cm piece of fresh Ginger - Peeled & grated
● 1 Chilli - Finely chopped (optional and de seed if you don’t want full heat)
● ½ Pepper (Any Colour) - Cut into matchsticks
● ½ Onion (Any Colour) - Thinly sliced
● 1 Carrot - Cut into matchsticks
● 50g Green Beans or Sugar Snap Peas - Sliced in half
● 2 Spring Onions - Finely chopped for garnish
● 4-5 Cabbage Or Kale Leaves - Trimmed of stem and finely sliced
● 10g Fresh Coriander - Finely chopped for garnish
● 1-2 Tablespoon of low salt Soy Sauce or Tamari (Gluten Free)
● 1 Teaspoon Fish Sauce (Optional)
● 1 Teaspoon Chinese Five Spice powder
● 1 Tablespoon Rapeseed or Cooking Oil
