A testament to a musician's spirit and the power of music. In spite of being limited physically by the effects of ALS, musician and producer Ned Mann has produced and mixed two very fine CDs to benefit ALS, titled "Finding My Way Home, Volume One: The Electric Session and Volume Two: The Acoustic Session," featuring jazz greats Randy Brecker, Mike Stern, Will Lee, David Mann, Chuck Loeb, Rufus Reid, Mark Egan, Jeff Beal, Tim Ries, Jay Azzolina, Barry Danielian, Matt King, Jon Werking, Adam Nussbaum, Jonathan Peretz, Brian Dunne, and David Charles! In this clip you can see Ned mixing full professional tracks for the CDs using Smart Nav technology, moving his head to control the track volumes. The website at the end of this video is no longer active, but you can purchase the CDs and mp3s at: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/HelpNedFight...
Jazz musician Rufus Reid: "To be invited to participate in this incredible recording project for my friend, Ned, is a real honor and great pleasure. Ned's will, perseverance, and inner strength is truly inspirational. We all have much to learn about how important and precious life is on a daily basis."
