Dead and decaying trees are essential for wildlife, supporting fungi, insects, birds, and mammals. But how do visitors feel about seeing them in parks and landscapes?
Social Scientists at Forest Research surveyed 1,177 visitors across three very different sites — Stowe Gardens (Buckinghamshire), Rydal (Lake District), and the Knepp Estate (West Sussex) — to find out.
