Limone sul Garda is one of the most picturesque villages on the western shore of Lake Garda. The town of Limone sul Garda is surrounded by the rocky massifs of Monte Baldo, which dramatically extend into the crystal clear waters of Lake Garda. This location has long isolated the town from the rest of the world and it was only accessible by boat from the lake or by difficult mountain paths, the road to Riva del Garda was built only in 1932. Today Limone is one of the most famous tourist resorts in the Lake Garda area.
Lemons, lemons and more lemons are literally everywhere in the town and they are what gave the town its name - Limone.
Limone sul Garda is also famous for its excellent olive oil and fishing.
