After living internationally, Erika and Matt came back to the US with a baby on the way and travel still on the mind. Intending to be mobile while providing a foundation for the little one, they chose the nomadic life and started on their DIY skoolie. Their 1996 Thomas International DT466 has 750 amp-hours AGM batteries, a 3500-watt inverter, with 1000watts of solar mounted on the roof. The interior has warm copper tones with ocean blues throughout the galley layout.

A 7ft couch pulls out into a spare bed, and the small dining table extends for the ability to seat six. They have maple live edge countertops, a hammered copper sink, a full fridge, and floating shelves to round out the kitchen. Their unique shower is in the stairwell with a removable shower curtain, taking up no extra space within the bus's interior. Matt and Erika each have a desk beside the floating bed that hovers above their daughter's play space. This layout has worked wonderfully, but with another baby on the way, they're selling this skoolie to design a new build!
