This Scots Pine or Pinus sylvestris gets very dense and is perfect for bonsai. It has beautiful, cracking bark with streaks of orange coming through and back buds like crazy! But it can be too much growth and it must be thinned and cleaned up to ensure the inner buds are protected for future use. I also take the opportunity to clean up the pads and get some greater separation between each of the areas of foliage which helps improve the definition.
