This video illustrates just what we mean when we talk about knots being “100%”, and how the Bimini twist fits into that conversation. Nathaniel breaks 16# class tippet with a Bimini on either side and 16# class tippet tied with an improved blood knot to show what happens and why the Bimini is the king of knots.
No shade on the improved blood knot. We use it frequently in our bonefish and permit leaders where strength is second to stealth, but for tarpon leaders (or for other big bad mofos), the Bimini is essential, fishy peeps!
