New T-Man Milwaukee-Eight™ Big Bore Cylinder Kits

We wanted to share another new product for the Milwaukee-Eight™ - our Big Bore Cylinder Kits. At T-Man, we do these differently than the other market options. We begin with the cylinder you supply, either the existing cylinder or an extra set you may have.

We set it up on our CNC and bore the existing liner completely out of the cylinder; leaving a nice clean straight hole. Then, we use a T-Man custom made liner - the material is 100,000-PSI ductile iron. This is the same material that we use to produce our pro-stock cylinders. After that, the cylinder is heated and the liner is dropped into the cylinder. What makes our different - notice the notch on the cylinder. When that cylinder is dropped in, it's indexed. We have a front and a rear - keeping the cylinder from moving in the bore.

The other feature we have that others don't is a longer bessel which makes it more stable then we do the cut-out so they don't hit one another and we also cut out where the piston jet oilers. The reason we do that - on your stock cylinders, on the 4-1/2 and 4-3/8 stroke at bottom dead center the piston is coming out of the cylinder over 300/1000ths. After a period of time, it will cause the piston to rock at the bottom. That's why we're seeing some of the stock cylinders with cracks on the bessel areas from the thrusting of the cylinders and the material.

What we've done, our cylinders when they come around to bottom dead cylinder that piston never comes out of the bottom of the cylinder and is supported the entire time. We have a nice chamfer on the bottom of our cylinders, which makes ring installation easy to install.

Right now, we have available the 4" 180 Bore which will make a 107 a 120 and makes a 114/117 a 124.

By the end of the month, we'll have our 4-1/4" Bore will make a 107 a 124 and makes a 114/117 a 127.
