My own performance of J. S. Bach’s Trio Sonata No. 1 in E-flat Major, BWV 525 (I. Allegro), recorded on a virtual Hauptwerk pipe organ.
Bach’s six trio sonatas are some of the most refined and challenging works in the organ repertoire.
This first movement is bright, flowing, and beautifully balanced — a perfect example of Bach’s chamber-music style applied to the organ.
