This kit was introduced by Airfix in 1961 and was taken over by Dapol in 1984. This year marks the kits 60th anniversary. And despite that, the Dapol Esso Tank Wagon kit is still a remarkably good representation of the prototype.

The current version of the Dapol Esso Tank Wagon kit includes metal wheels and tension lock couplings, and include transfers suitable for use before 1973.
