শিশুর প্রথম শিক্ষক তার মা। মা যেমন হবেন, শিশুও তার মা‘কে অনুকরণ-অনুসরণ করবে ও ঠিক তেমনটিই হবে। তাই মা‘কে হতে হয় সর্বোত্তম শিক্ষায় শিক্ষিত একজন আদর্শ মা। আদর্শ মা কে যেমন নৈতিকভাবে হতে হয় উন্নত তেমনি খেয়াল রাখতে হয় তার প্রতিটি আচরণ ও কথার দিকে।

একটি শিশু জন্মের পর থেকেই তার মায়ের সাথেই থাকে, মা যেমনটি বলে ঠিক তেমনটিই করে। তাই একজন মায়ের মূলত দায়িত্ব তার শিশুকে সঠিক আদর্শ প্রদান করা। আজকের শিশু আগামী দিনের ভবিষ্যত। তাই আগামী দিনকে সুন্দর ও সমৃদ্ধ করতে বর্তমানে প্রয়োজন কিছু আদর্শ মা যারা শিশুকে প্রকৃত আদর্শের দীক্ষায় দীক্ষিত করবে। কেমন হবেন সেই আদর্শ মা? কী তার বৈশিষ্ট্য? চলুন শুনে আসি আপন শিশু বিকাশ ফাউন্ডেশনের চেয়ারম্যান, শিশু মনোবিজ্ঞানী জনাব সুলতানা রাজিয়ার কাছ থেকে।
Mother is the first teacher of a child. A child would follow his mother and will be like her. That is why a mother must be an ideal mother full of morals and ethics. She must be known about her child and about his upbringing, and also she must be aware of her actions.

A child always remains with his mother, and always follows her as she told him to do. Therefore, it is a duty to the mothers to give her a proper ideology. Children are the future. Thus, to create a development and progressive future, we need some ideal mother now, who will teach and raise their children with a proper ideology.
