Another interesting film made by the small English production company British Foundation Pictures Ltd (BFP). This is entitled "Gateway to the Tyrol" and is about the Tyrol region of Austria/Germany and highlights the rustic and unchanged way of life in the region. This might be described as a travelogue, but I think it closer to a short documentary and dates to 1954.
Ronald Haines (with the assistance of his wife Jean) managed BFP, and has a number of credits to his name, but this does not appear, and I can find very little about the film, except that it was advertised in an American catalogue from 1955 of visual aids. In any case, I am always delighted to see BFP productions, they are so quaint, especially when they have an original censor certificate.
