Professional goalkeeper coach James Hollman takes us through another goalkeeper session with the Newport County Goalkeepers.

GOALKEEPER TRAINING FULL SESSION VOL 4 PART 1 OF 2

In this session the goalkeepers start with working on their 1st touch control and passing as well as working on their footwork.

As the session progresses this develops in to controlling through the lines and then passing to players on the move.

05:30 - 08:41
After the control and passing phase the goalkeepers now start to work their hands and get a feel of the football while still working their footwork and speed to get into position for the volley.

08:41 - 12:40
And the final progression is the goalkeepers starting to work on how to take a crossed ball as well as working on footwork speed to get in to position for the second ball which is varied in service.

There is loads to take from this session and you can really adapt the session to cater for your goalkeepers.

If you don't have any mannequins you can use cones for the majority of the session.
