Justice Surya Kant’s journey from Surya Kant ‘Vidrohi’ to the Chief Justice of India (CJI) has been steady and inspiring. He rose from a humble background in Petwar village, Hisar, to reach the office of the CJI. He is on a two-day visit to Hisar as a state guest for the first time after assuming office as the Chief Justice and is set to attend several events. He attended a programme organised by District Bar Association, of which he had been a member in his early days as a lawyer.
