Fat Dogs and Danishmen is the second album by Danish rock band Dr. Dopo Jam, released in 1974 on Polydor-subsidiary Zebra. The Danish group started on the initiative of Kristian Pommer at Club Paramount in Roskilde in late 1967 by Nils "Vejmand" (Nils Carl Vilhelm Wienmann Christensen), SKAK Snitker (Poul Visby Snitker) and Kristian Pommer. The band Dr. Dopo Jam made its mark in the period 1968-1974 as a bizarre group with a humorous stage show. With Pommer at the center, the group became one of the most notable groups in Danish rock. He was responsible for the majority of the thoroughly arranged repertoire. PA: "Continuing what they started on their debut album 'Entree,' the Danish musical whack job Dr Dopo Jam released their second album Fat Dogs & Danishmen in 1974 with founder, leader, main composer, singer and instrumentalist Kristian Pommer cranking out a whopping double album of crazy Zappa inspired material that took as many creative liberties as was humanly possible through the course of eleven bizarre tracks that dared to stuff in as many genres as possible without losing a beat."
