In this video I compare the acoustic tone before and after installation of a JLD Bridge System (colloquially called a Bridge Doctor although this is slightly different). The Bridge Doctor partially corrects belly bulge or bridge lift in a guitar.
After filming this video, I found that the sound improved by backing-off the tension of the Bridge Doctor to allow a slight rise behind the bridge, and that sparkle the guitar had came back. A slight bulge behind the bridge (2-5mm) is, of course, normal.
