In this lab demo, we implement a VGA interface between an FPGA and a monitor using the Terasic DE1-SoC board as part of EEDG/CE 6370 – Design and Analysis of Reconfigurable Systems at The University of Texas at Dallas.
You’ll learn how to:
Design and prototype a VGA controller in Quartus Prime
Display a blue square over a yellow background on a monitor
Analyze timing reports before and after place-and-route
Estimate FPGA power consumption
🧠 Tools Used:
Intel Quartus Prime
Terasic DE1-SoC FPGA Board
📘 Course Context:
This lab belongs to Homework 5 of EEDG/CE 6370 and focuses on practical FPGA-to-VGA interfacing and physical design analysis.
