Cruising the Mangawhai Heads, New Zealand - March 26 2019.
A beautiful late summers day to launch me old boat 'Seahorse' at the superb pontoon boat ramp at the Mangawhai Heads.
Then off for a cruise along the estuary and over the Mangawhai Bar for a quick foreshore cruise then back to the ramp.

Alamar Crescent in Mangawhai Heads has two boat ramps. A dual access concrete boat ramp and jetty that is suitable for all tides is at 1 Alamar Crescent, in front of the Mangawhai Boating & Fishing Club. This ramp has good trailer parking. Developed and is maintained by the fine folks at the Mangawhai Boating & Fishing Club for the boating and fishing community.

The Mangawhai Heads Bar is notorious for tricky crossings with a shallow sand bar across the entrance which can be dangerous in certain conditions of winds and tides.
