00:20 | New Hurling Clubs
In new club news, the University of Memphis now has a Hurling Club. The club was started in April 2022 by a player of Athens Hurling Club and are looking for students to join their team.

Delco Gaels, who were formerly a youth club, now have adult teams. More on that later.

00:44 | Hurling At A Baseball Game
In North Carolina, hurling was featured as the first pitch at a baseball game. Red Wolves Hurling Club poc'd out the first pitch at a Kannapolis Cannon Ballers Baseball Game.

This is the second time hurling has been featured as the first pitch at a baseball game. The first time was in September 2022 in Missoula, Montana.

01:11 | Philly 7’s Hurling
In Pennsylvania, Philadelphia GAA hosted the Philly 7's Hurling and Camogie Tournament. Jersey Shore GAA brought home the division 1 hurling cup and Baltimore GAA are camogie champions.

Newly formed Delco Gaels GAA won in the division 2 hurling. Paddy Rooney Jr from the Delco Gaels spoke with us about their new hurling and camogie adult teams.

01:54 | Lacrosse Players Try Camogie
In Georgia, Pooler GAA taught camogie to the SCAD Women’s Lacrosse team in Savannah and they were naturals at it. Hurling and camogie are the perfect sports for multi-sport athletes, especially lacrosse players who already have a lot of the skills required.

02:24 | Waterford Camogie USA Trip
Another camogie and lacrosse collaboration happened this April, this time in New Jersey. Waterford's Portlaw Camogie Club had a cultural exchange trip to New Jersey. During their trip, they played a camogie demonstration match at a local high school, and taught some basic skills to the lacrosse team.

02:39 | Nashville Music City Invitational
In Tennessee, Nashville GAC hosted the Music City Invitational while celebrating their 10 year anniversary. And playhurling.com provided sliotars for the tournament. Teams from across the Southeast and Midwest travelled to Nashville to compete with Knoxville GAC bringing home the cup.

03:10 | Joe Biden Attends Camogie Match
During his recent Presidential visit to Ireland, Joe Biden attended a camogie match at St Brigid’s Castleknock in Dublin. This isn't the first time Joe Biden has been introduced to hurling. In 2016, then Taoiseach Enda Kenny, presented Joe with a hurl and sliotar.

03:33 | Northeast Hurling 7’s
In New Hampshire, Wolves Hurling Club hosted the Northeast Hurling 7’s Tournament. Worcester Fenians brought the trophy home beating Hartford in a well contested final 0-16 to 3-5.

April’s photo of the month goes to Cú Chulainn Vancouver. Their local photographer mugged, captured all the action at their Hurling 11's final at the end of April.

April’s club of the month goes to Charleston Hurling Club who took over our social media accounts both in March and April. Thanks so much to Brian for providing coverage of the Camden Cup and the Holy City Cup over the past two months.
