Modern WordPress Development Part 1: Installing wp env to create a local development environment

A key part to getting started in WordPress development is to get your development environment running. But what's the best way in 2021? MAMP? LAMP? Do you need a web host? Not anymore! We'll be using the new wp-env scripts in this tutorial to create our very own local WordPress development environment with ease. You'll find local development much faster, easier, and more effective than waiting for your work to compile and upload, and this video will get you started.

This multi-part series prepares you to develop and create block variations in Gutenberg, WordPress's new editor. To get the most out of this series of tutorials, understanding how to read and write JavaScript in ES6 syntax is recommended.
